Windsay, Death week, Sea Season, 1617

After breakfast the party head down to the LankhorMhy? Temple in search of adventure. For some reason, ant hunting doesnt hold the appeal that it did. Upon reaching the temple, they are spotted by ScholorJennings who invites them in and asks them if they are interested in some "discrete" work. He then aranges for them to meet a friend of his later that day.

The party return after lunch and are shown into a windowless room in the temple where ScholarJennings asks them again if they are willing to keep secrets even from the officials. After the party agrees, he leaves and returns showrtly with a distinguished looking man in robes of the Pavis temple. He is introduced as FleeterNeem? (Priest and Daughter of Pavis) the locals recognise him as the second in charge in the Pavis temple and a man who has spnsored several expeditions into the Rubble.

FleeterNeem? asks the party if they are willing to keep secrets from the Lunars and gives them an oportunity to leave if they do not wish to do so. When none of them leave, FleeterNeem? smiles and tells them of the task he has for them.

He asks the party to travel into the Rubble to the general area of the Blind Kings Hill to fins a small stone building with a Sarcophagus inside. Under the Sarcophagus there is an entrance to an underground complex. Inside there is a magic ring (gold with a single ruby - FleeterNeem? has a drawing which he shows them) which he wants them to retrieve. Any other loot that the party finds, they get to keep. If it does not amount to 500L each, he will make up the difference. The Party agree to do the task and not tell anyone the details and FleeterNeem? gives them the directions to the Stone building.

The party decide to have an easy night (only several pints) and then get some sleep. After they return home and get ready to bed down, there is a knock on the door. outside is a large man, hooded and cloaked who asks to be let in. He offers the party 2000L if they will divulge the task FleeterNeem? wishes completed and a further 4000L for whatever item he wants recovered form the Rubble. The party deny all knowledge but the man promises to return tomorrow to see if they have found out anything.

Fireday, Death week, Sea Season, 1617

Heading out of Pavis via the Peoples Gate, the party initially head down towards the GillisFarm area. Much debate occurs on what should be done, should they try to capture or kill some Ants and use it as cover for the other work they are going to do? The debate lasts several hours. Eventually it is decided that its pointless and head to the site of the crypt.

Finding the right building they manage to move the Sarcophagus and find a shaft about 1m in diameter going straight down. After lowering a light they figure out it is about 50m deep. SnommI is lowered down on a rope to the bottom. As he lands on the floor a crossbow bolt trap is triggered and he is wounded in the leg. He starts to search for traps and discovers a pssible second trap whilst Ardv is lowered by rope. He manages to disable the trap (which Ardv would have set off).

From the end of the shaft is a 1m diameter tunnel running about 10m which then climbs vertically 5m. It then levels out again for 30m and then drops down 2m to some water. Varlack is lowered into the water (he has the best swimming ability in the party). He discovers the water is only about 1.5m deep but there is a 1m diameter tunnel heading futher along under the water. He swims down the tunnel for about 8m but then finds his way blocked by a number of metal bars blocking the tunnel. He signals and is pulled back by the rope. The bars are eventually pulled out of the rock after the party tie ropes to them and heave as a group. Varlack then swims past the remains fo the bars for another few meters and appears in the bottom of a shaft streching about 20m up.
