Ref: HeroWars - The Wedding - Part 2
- Two nations, both alike in dignity,
- In ancient Pavis, where we lay our scene,
- From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
- Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
- From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
- A pair of star-cross'd lovers make their fate;
- The which if you with patient ears attend,
- What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend!
- Korlen, Vastos and Haloric are drinking kodva with Doramides Redclaw, initiate of Humakt and captain of the House Guard.
- Doramides speaks long of House Kaylintar and its hard, arduous journey to a new life in Pavis, led by Karmanoi Permides and his family. Much of it seems strange to you, and difficult to understand. He speaks of distant Carmania, a land of snow and grassy greenlands, of its ancient traditions and Empire, and of the new Empire of the Red Moon and its Goddess.
- He speaks of the Prophet Carmanos, who brought them the word of the Maker God and Dualistic Truth. (The god doesn't seem to have a name, and then it gets even more confusing, for what is Humakt (whom Doramides worships) if not a god? It seems to the Carmanians that everything is either black or white. Or is it just the kodva?
- We discuss the marrage with Doramides; it seams that there will be muliple weddings and that Paris is a souter for Lady Anistra. Vastos expresses loadly and forcefully that she will marry him. It seams that Doramides is loyal to his Lord and want the best match.
- When the group leave, Hal is called "Kasdrani!" a "bullwrestler" and Korlen a "Kasdenki!" the "bull slayer", these it seams are important Carmanians name. Whatever that means.
- Kirst explains that 'Permides the Carmanian' wants to marry 'Jezra', Duke Rause's daughter. Paris and Vastos want Permide's daughter 'Anistra' (It is also likely that Hal will also stand forth). We discuss the Wedding Rites and Kirst becomes concered and says no more. The group go looking for further information. Korlen and Hal don't find out much from the towns folk but the Carmanian servants tell them:
- Any souter may announce themselves (assuming we can get there)
- The souter should bring a sutible gift
- the father will set three challenges
- the souter should bring his friends and family because it is a joining of groups as well.
- Vastos sends a mesage in a knotted rope to his love. This he wisely leaves to Brol to deliver. Brol breaks into the womens quaters of Permides' home and declairs loudly that he has a message from Vastos to Lady Anistra. A eunuch attacks him and he is chased off after throwing the rope at the lady.
- We all get back and tell Vastos what happened (well Brol fudge's the truth a lot).
